Dr Haydn Aarons - Health Sciences

As a lecturer at Mildura, I'm able to devote a lot more time to students than I might be able to at a metropolitan campus.

Teaching in a rural community, we tend to do things in a creative way, and that makes a great difference to the outcomes for students.

I think working at Mildura campus gives me more of an opportunity to engage with students on a higher or more sustained level.

For my PhD thesis, I completed the first comprehensive historical study of the founding of Mildura.

My research aims to find new ways to help teachers learn during their pre-service teaching placements.

When I think about the Mildura campus as a place to study, the most important word from a student perspective is 'access'.
