Open Range Sanctuary

Water To be developed from the existing Wildlife Reserve on the La Trobe University Campus (28 hectares) with assets including:

  • Ancient Red Gums

  • 25 years of replanting

  • Simulated Billabong system acting as stormwater treatment plant established

Unique viewing experience of island populations of native animals behaving naturally in their home environment.

A fully-fenced protection from introduced predators.

A model project for animal re-introduction, revegetation, and animal husbandry and display.
