Angie teaches drama and documentary production as well as multi-camera television studio production.

Angie has directed several award winning short films. She has been a script reader and development head for several prominent feature film producers. Angie is a passionate film practitioner who continues to work in a number of film related projects; including writing a feature film screenplay, an eight part television series and as a director of television commercials. Angie has a diverse interest in all areas of film and television production, but particularly comedy and drama genres.


Research Areas
Cinema and media production, particularly development of film and television programs in an Australian context. Scriptwriting; directing; producing.

Current research project
A dramatic narrative feature film screenplay that explores the concepts of 'fear', 'destiny', 'death' and the interrelationship between them. Specifically written within the parameters of a low budget production in the current Australian government funding screen agencies.

Grants and Awards
"BIRTHDAY GIRL" Producer and director of the 7 minute short film completed in 2008.
Winner Audience Choice Indie-Fest @WOW2008 (Australia).
Screened at the following festivals: 15th WOW International Film Festival, Sydney (Australia) 2008. FedFest finalist film, Melbourne (Australia) 2009.

A Film Victoria directors' attachment on the feature film "TAKEAWAY" (Dir, Marc Gracie, 2002).

A Film Victoria directors' attachment on the comedy television series "SHOCK JOCK" (TV1, 2001).

"BOWL ME OVER" Director of the 15 minute, short film completed in 2000. Produced with the Film Victoria Independent Filmmakers Fund 2000. Winner Best Comedy 2001 St Kilda Short Film Festival (Australia). 2nd Prize Audience Choice Award, 2002 OpenChannel Member's screening (Australia). Screened at the following festivals: 2002; 55th Locarno International Film Festival "Leopards of Tomorrow" (Switzerland). Screened on "Eat Carpet" SBS TV (Australia) and the ANZAC Special 2005, SBS TV (Australia).
DVD Distribution through Palace Films, released with feature film "Beward of Greeks Bearing Guns" 2002.
