Angela Taft is an applied social scientist who has been studying, advocating change in and writing about the public health system’s response to violence against women and children and women’s sexual and reproductive health for over 15 years. She is currently MCHR postgraduate coordinator, Hon Fellow at the Department of General Practice, University of Melbourne, an Associate Investigator on the Australian Longitudinal Study of Women’s Health, and former national co-convener of the Public Health Association of Australia’s (PHAA) Women’s Health Special Interest Group.
 
MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS

Intimate partner violence; Health impact of, and health system responses to violence against women and children; sexual and reproductive health; cultural diversity and violence.
