Eve has a background in clinical and education work in women’s sexual and reproductive health and received a Masters of Education from Monash University in 2003. Prior to 2004 Eve worked at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre and as an educator with Family Planning Victoria and community educator for the Infectious Diseases Unit at The Alfred Hospital. She then changed the focus of her career and joined MCRI as a research assistant for the avian flu vaccine trial and currently also works with the University of Melbourne and Burnet Institute on various research projects. The most recent and largest project funded by NHMRC was CIRIS (Chlamydia incidence and re-infection study) at University of Melbourne. She is currently a project officer with the CASTLE study, under the supervision of Dr Lisa Amir. The CASTLE study is an NHMRC-funded project which aims to investigate the role of micro-organisms (Staphylococcus aureus & Candida albicans) in the pathogenesis of breast pain and infection in lactating women. |
