Course Information

Master of Business Administration

The MBA is designed to enhance the skills that participants bring to the course in order to increase their potential for creating value in the world of business and/or to meet the priorities of government organisations through effective public administration. It prepares graduates to tackle problems creatively in order to achieve optimum results for the organisation. The MBA is offered in full-time and part-time mode at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus and in part-time mode only at the Bendigo campus. The Bendigo Campus is unavailable for enrolment of international students because of the part-time study only status.

Specifically, the aims and objectives of the course are:

  • to provide participants with a rigorous education in the essential techniques of management;
  • to extend this fundamental knowledge into various areas of specialisation and;
  • to achieve a balance between academic rigour and an exposure to the wide variety of experience in commerce, industry and government which is a necessity of modern management.

Admission requirements

Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree, have at least 2 years work experience, be proficient in the English language and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Applicants who have completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration elsewhere may receive advanced standing and gain direct entry into the MBA program, subject to certain conditions.
