Current MBA StudentsExchange ProgramExchange Program FAQsAbout the ProgramBroaden your educational horizons! You may be able to study overseas towards your La Trobe University MBA. Both local and international students are welcome to apply. You must be enrolled in a La Trobe University MBA at the time of your application. International students will need to check on visa requirements for students of their nationality studying in the host country. The study program will be given in English but it will be a distinct advantage to have some conversational language of the country for everyday life if you are studying in France, Norway, Sweden or Denmark. Academic RequirementsYou will need to have a B-grade average in your studies and to have completed 8 subjects in your MBA before you go on exchange. Your planned program of studies at your host university will be approved by an academic adviser in the Graduate School of Management and a letter of academic credit will be submitted with your application. This letter will state the credit you will receive for the successful completion of the exchange program. While part time students are welcome to apply, all students must study full-time when they are on exchange. How much will it cost?Students are still enrolled at La Trobe University during their exchange and are liable for the General Service Fee and normal Tuition/Full fees. An Australian student receiving a Centrelink allowance should continue to receive that allowance during the study period overseas. Am I a La Trobe University student when I am on exchange?Yes, you are enrolled at La Trobe University for the duration of you exchange program and pay your normal fees to the University. The host university will not charge you for tuition fees. At the end of your study program you will receive a transcript of your studies from the host university. This transcript is used to claim the credit for your term/semester of exchange. Accommodation and OrientationThe host university will assist you in finding accommodation and will hold an orientation program, normally in the week before classes begin. Where the program is in a country where the native language is not English there will normally be a "crash" course available focusing on the language and culture of the country. VisasYou will need an official letter of offer from your host university to finalise your visa. If you are an International student please check with the consulate of the relevant (host university) country to determine whether you will be required to return to your home country to apply for your visa. You will need to provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself fully while you are on exchange. When should I apply? It is never too early to start planning your exchange program. You will need to have suitable grades. A sensible plan is to complete the core subjects in the MBA before you go on exchange so that you have more flexibility in subject choice. Where can I go on Exchange?Graduate School of Management, Rouen, France Graduate School of Management, Rennes, France Copenhagen Business School, Denmark Jonkoping International Business School Gotenberg University, Sweden, School of Economics and Commercial Law Groupe ESSCA - Ecole Superieure des Sciences Commerciales D'Angers Yonsei University, Korea, Graduate School of International Studies University of Washington - USA
