Dr Pauline Stanton specialises in people management, employment relations, human resource development and workforce strategy. She is an active researcher with over 60 peer reviewed publications and she has presented the results of her research at national and international conferences in Europe, Asia, the USA and Australia . Her recent research areas include Performance Management, Health Sector Workforce Strategy, High Performance Organisations and Trade Union Organising Strategies. She has developed, designed and delivered numerous flexible and innovative education and training programs and workshops for managers in the health care sector, in Defence, in AFL, local government, in television, in engineering, finance and manufacturing. She has provided management and educational consultancy to a range of organisations and industries in Australia, the UK, Vietnam, China and Mongolia.

This survey aims to identify the role of performance management in contributing and adding value to organisational strategies and goals, and hence to develop improved systems. It is currently being conducted by Dr Pauline Stanton in conjunction with Associate Professor Alan Nankervis from RMIT and the Performance Management Institute of Australia.
