Access to a global education network

The University is a founding member of the international Network of Universities (INU), which encourages internationalisation through student and staff mobility, research collaboration and cooperation in university management.
La Trobe has a significant number of international link sin research, teaching and exchange; we deliver several programs in China, Bhutan, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. International collaborations are integral to our success in learning, teaching and research.
Study abroad
Some 250 La Trobe students will be studying abroad in 2011, and the number has been rising steadily in recent years.
The most popular destinations for exchanges are Europe, North America and Japan. However, La Trobe Abroad is constantly extending the range of choice for students through new agreements, particularly in Asian countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, China and South Korea. Lately, an agreement has also come into force with the University of Nizwa in Oman — our first exchange partner in the Middle East — which opens even more doors!
