Many of La Trobe’s courses offer industry experience via cadetships, placements or projects and are accredited by professional associations nationally and internationally.
Industry experience is about gaining solid vocational experience where you take an active professional role. It allows you to apply the theoretical knowledge you develop throughout your academic studies, and provides you with valuable industry contacts who can help you build greater industry awareness. It also gives you a chance to get detailed feedback on your skills, and can ultimately lead to short-or-long-term employment – employers are always eager to snap up skilled graduates.
