Welcome to the Statistics Section at La Trobe University, Bundoora Campus.

There is a continuing shortfall of graduates from professional statistics programs. Professional statistics graduates are employed as consultants in a wide range of activities including medicine, epidemiology, health sciences, psychological science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, econometrics, market research, business forecasting, finance, insurance, engineering, environmental science, biological science and agriculture. This program entitles the holder to Graduate Statistician status upon joining the Statistical Society of Australia Inc.

La Trobe is the first university in Australia to have its Statistics Program accredited by the Statistical Society of Australia Inc.
