Translation of Pierre Molino's book 'Riemannian Foliations' from French to English. This appeared in the Birkhauser Progress in Mathematics Series (Volume 73) in 1988.

I'm the convener of the "Quintessentialist Society", which is a group of people who meet fortnightly over dinner, in the back room of a Melbourne cafe, to share their enjoyment of mathematics in a relaxed and friendly environment. Each year is devoted to a special theme:

  • 1998: Galois Theory
  • 1999: Probability and Measure Theory
  • 2000: the Riemann Hypothesis
  • 2001: the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra
  • 2002: the Continuum Hypothesis
  • 2003: Group Representations
  • 2004: Celestial Mechanics
  • 2005: Nonstandard Analysis
  • 2006: Hilbert's Nullstellensatz
  • 2007: Quaternions and Octonions
  • 2008: Integer Partitions

Book Review: 'Elementary Differential Geometry', by A. Pressley, Gazette Aust. Math. Soc. 28, no. 2 (2001), 103-104.

Math Matters, Gazette of the The Australian Mathematical Society, Volume 33 Number 2, May 2006

When I'm not doing maths, I'm often taking my sons to swimming, athletics, cricket, tennis, football, etc.
