The Bachelor of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences
A three year degree specialising in mathematics and statistics. A fourth Honours year is also available.
- Students take both mathematics and statistics at first year and then study either or both through to 3rd year.
- Other subjects can be chosen from across the University, giving great flexibility.
- Graduates are eligible to apply for accredited membership of the Australian Mathematical Society, the Statistical Society of Australia, or both. They may be eligible for further professional society membership (for example in the Australian Computer Society) if they take a major study in another discipline alongside their mathematics/statistics specialisation.

Entry requirements for the BMathStatSc
The prerequisite is a study score of 20 in English and either a study score of 25 in Mathematical Methods or a study score of 20 in Specialist Mathematics.
