Welcome to the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at La Trobe University.

 

We have a reputation as one of Australia's most progressive teaching departments in the Mathematical Sciences, a place where students actively learn Maths and Stats in an informal environment.

We are also a very active research department, recognised by the University as an area of research strength, and with many international and national connections.
