Postgraduate and International Students Demand Concession Cards

Published 14-08-2009

A rally will be held on Wednesday 2nd September at 2.00pm at the State Library, to protest against the State Governments refusal to grant concession cards for public transport to Postgraduate and International students.

La Trobe students meet at 12:45pm on Wednesday 2nd September in front of David Myers Building, and travel with other La Trobe students to the State Library.

Only Victoria and NSW continue to disadvantage Postgraduate and International students, despite the considerable financial and social contributions made by these cohorts. LUPA strongly supports the concession card coalition (CCC), as do CAPA, NUS, and Melbourne and Monash Postgraduate Associations. You can contribute by signing the petition to the Legislative Assembly of Victoria (in the LUPA office and on its noticeboard), by attending the Rally and by attending the concession card coalition meetings (see below)
