Public Transport Concessions Campaign

Dear Postgraduate Students,

LUPA conducted a survey in February 2009 to ascertain your views about the petition to obtain Public Transport Concession cards for postgraduate students and international students. LUPA received your overwhelming support for this petition. Now LUPA is happy to inform you that it has joined the MGSA (Melbourne University Graduate Student Association) to sign the petition to obtain the entitlements for postgraduates and international students to have public transport concession cards.

The rationale for LUPA to join this petition – Victoria does not grant travel concessions to postgraduate students, and is one of only two states that do not grant travel concessions to international students.
