Become a Committee Member

Election Procedure

The LUPA committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The notice of the AGM invites nominations for all nine members of the committee. Nominations close at 12 noon on the last business day preceding the AGM. All students who are deemed a postgraduate by the University and are a member of LUPA are eligible for nomination.

LUPA officers and representatives are elected at the first committee meeting after the AGM. Positions are determined by a majority vote.

All positions, whether officers, representatives or ordinary members will retain their position until the next AGM after the date of his or her election or until they resign, which ever comes first. In the event of a vacancy, the position will be advertised via the LUPA e-Newsletter and/or at a General Meeting.
