Advocacy

LUPA offers an advocacy service to all postgraduate students who may be in need of advice or support at some stage during their degree. LUPA advocates can direct you to suitable officers within the University who can assist you or they can liaise with people for you.

Being or having been postgraduates, our advocates can relate to the postgraduate experience. They know the pitfalls and problems that may be encountered and the emotional strain that can accompany your study. LUPA advocates also have a depth of experience and knowledge having generally served on LUPA and University committees as postgraduate representatives.

We suggest that you read our advocacy article that outlines available resources in case of problems, including LUPA advocates, the correct processes to follow and people to contact when problems do occur.
