Sculpture park
Contemporary Australian sculpture was an integral part of the original design and Master Plan of the Bundoora campus. The sculptures installed in the grounds complement the architecture, lively population, flora and extensive wildlife that form part of the much admired landscape of the University’s Bundoora campus. Nestled among the majestic eucalyptus trees or surprisingly located in one of the numerous meditative gardens one is afforded the opportunity to engage, contemplate and enjoy these works on a daily basis.
Just as the University has developed and grown since its first days so too has the University’s sculpture collection. It includes works from every decade since the establishment of the University in the mid 1960s and reflects key movements and trends in sculpture throughout this period. Artists represented in the collection include Inge King, Robert Klippel, Leonard French and Karen Ward.
