How to get here
The Melbourne campus is located in Melbourne's north-eastern suburb of Bundoora, at the intersection of Plenty Road and Kingsbury Drive. It is 14 km from the city centre (Melways ref: 19 G7).

Free pocket-size Transport Access Maps are available from Traffic and Parking in the Peribolos East building. These also show the various bicycle routes to and from campus.
How to get here
By public transport
Tram Route 86 runs from the Docklands through the City via Burke St, and passes through Fitzroy, Northcote and Preston on its route past the La Trobe Medical Centre in Bundoora. The tram continues along Plenty Rd to its terminus at the RMIT Bundoora campus.
There are a number of bus routes that go directly to the Melbourne campus or link with other services, such as trains on the Epping or Hurstbridge lines.

By Bicycle
The Melbourne campus is situated beside the Darebin Creek Bike Trail, which runs from the Northern Ring Road to Alphington.
There are also clearly marked cycling routes from Macleod and Reservoir railway stations. Bicycles can be carried free of charge on all metropolitan trains.
There are many parking options on campus including a free secure storage and change facility called the CycleSmart Centre, personal bike lockers and public parking rails.

By Car
Car Parking
All car parking at the Melbourne campus is by payment or permit only. Daily payment may be in the form of cash or by using the La Trobe Card and this can differ at each car park. A certain number of reserved spaces are available for staff and students. These must be applied for in person at the Traffic and Parking office.

Disabled Parking
Spaces for disabled drivers are available in most of the car parks closest to the University buildings. Car parks 1 and 8 also have a number of disabled bays. Visit Traffic and Parking for further information.

Car Pooling
A car pool service exists for car owners and people without cars. Members receive a sticker on purchasing a parking permit that guarantees them a space in the car pool car park. It's a great way to meet new people and share the cost of getting to the University.
