Subject Coordinator, Human animal relationships (PSY3HAR)
A key focus of this subject development was to provide maximum flexibility for students whilst ensuring that they spent a lot of time engaging with the content. A secondary focus was to develop it in such a way that it could be run either fully online or in blended mode.
A series of readings and activities were developed. The LMS was developed with student activity as the focus, where students had to complete clear activities prior to attending tutorials. These tutorials drew heavily on the assumed knowledge gained in these online activities.
Critical success factors
By effectively creating an engaging 'to do list' for students that led directly into tutorials this development ensured a high level of engagement with the material.
