Our MBA reaches Vietnam
The redesigned MBA delivered by La Trobe Business School will be taught in a combination of delivery modes in Hanoi, offering students flexibility to arrange their studies around their professional commitments. New prerequisites require students to have at least three years of management experience, which ensures they can establish a peer group with strong professional experience.
La Trobe has a long standing partnership with Hanoi University. Our MBA was first offered there in 2004, with students responding positively to modern teaching methods that helped connect classroom learning to their professional experiences.
The first La Trobe MBA subject delivered intensively from Hanoi in 2013 was Personal and Professional Skills Development, a cornerstone of the redesigned degree and one of the subjects most praised by the current Australian MBA cohort.
Professor Di Iorio said ‘La Trobe Business School is delighted to continue its commitment to delivering our MBA to members of the business community in Vietnam. The new program has already been strongly received by our first cohort into the degree.’
The new La Trobe MBA has received significant attention since its re-launch from both national and international accreditation bodies:
- The Australian Financial Review – BOSS magazine ranked it in the top two in Victoria.
- In 2013, for the third consecutive year, the La Trobe MBA was awarded a five-star rating by the Graduate Management Association of Australia. La Trobe has also recently been recognised at the inaugural Victorian International Education Awards in the fields of International Student Experience and Innovation.
- The European Foundation for Management Development has also accredited the La Trobe MBA with its prestigious EPAS accreditation, making it one of a select group of MBAs in Australia to receive it.
- QS, a worldwide reviewer of MBA programs released their latest Global rankings earlier this month with La Trobe’s MBA moving up nine spots in only 12 months to be ranked 23 by employers in the Asia Pacific Region.
The La Trobe MBA curriculum focusses strongly on sustainable and ethical management and a commitment to global Corporate Social Responsibility. This is evident in La Trobe Business School’s membership of the United Nations backed Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME).
