Alumni Award recipients 2013 (Issue 6, 2013)
La Trobe University is pleased to announce this year’s Distinguished Alumni Award recipients.
This year science features predominantly amongst the line-up, with five of the seven award recipients from a science background – La Trobe’s Professor Marilyn Anderson, internationally-renowned plant biologist, Professor Antony Bacic, Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens Chief Executive, Professor Tim Entwisle, pre-eminent biological chemist Professor David Craik and leading botanist and conservationist Dr Michael Looker. Other recipients include Paralympian Tim Matthews OAM and international arts festival organiser Miriam Fathalla.
The award recipients will be honoured at the La Trobe University Dinner on October 3. Last year’s recipients Elizabeth Proust and Bill Kelty who were unable to attend last year’s event, will also be acknowledged at the University Dinner.
