The Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) provides funding for academics and professional staff to investigate, develop and implement innovations in learning and teaching.
The OLT website outlines each type of grant:
- Innovation and Development - support research, development and innovation related to the enhancement of learning and teaching in higher education (including Leadership for Excellence in Learning and Teaching). A wide range of priority areas are listed on the OLT website.
- Commissioned programs
- Seed Programs (not offered in 2016)
- Extension Grants (not offered in 2016)
- Promoting professional learning for academic teaching practice (an IRU project led by La Trobe University, funded by an OLT Extension Grant)
Office for Learning and Teaching grants and fellowships 2016
University staff are advised that application forms and instructions are now available for OLT National Teaching Fellowships in 2016. Programme Information and nomination instructions can be found below or on the OLT Website.
In 2016, in addition to the National Teaching Fellowships, one round of grants will be offered by the OLT, accepting both Innovation and Development grants, and Strategic Priority Commissioned grants. Expressions of Interest will not be accepted in 2016 by the OLT. Seed grants and extension grants will not be offered by the OLT in 2016.
The closing date for Fellowship nominations is Monday 1 February 2016.
La Trobe Learning and Teaching (LTLT) manages the process and supports the development of Fellowship nominations. Those interested in nominating should contact Dr Rhonda Hallett (firstname.lastname@example.org) as early as possible.
