LIMS research provides an innovation pipeline from basic research and concept development through to product realisation and commercialisation – work which is underpinning the development of Australia’s emerging bioeconomy.
Product development
LIMS researchers are working towards achieving new discoveries in the field of biotechnology and molecular science. These discoveries are used to develop new and improved products including vaccines, drugs, biotechnology products, sensors and scalable environmental solutions for both government and industry.
In addition to developing new products, this process is generating valuable intellectual property for the University in the areas of antibodies and medical diagnostics, pest resistance plants, and environmental management products.
