Career opportunities
LIMS is inclusive of the University’s departments of Biochemistry, Chemistry, Genetics and Pharmacy and is dedicated to the study of the molecular structures and processes fundamental to life on earth, which underpin environmental, biochemical and biomedical issues.
The LIMS project, a $94.1 million investment (to be completed in 2012), will provide the Institute with a new 6-storey, state-of- the-art research and teaching building, fully integrated with existing and recently refurbished molecular biology laboratories. Once completed, LIMS will offer 34 modern research laboratories, associated support facilities and offices for staff and students.
LIMS provides researchers with a collegial working environment and with the opportunity to attract and train Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
