Internal charges

Legal Services charges for its services where the work falls into one of the following categories:

Services provided to Business Procedures Manual Section Six Commercial Areas;
An external party to a commercial transaction would normally pay the University's legal cost (e.g. leasing arrangements);
Services provided in relation to contracts through the Research and Graduate Studies Office; and
Services provided in relation to other University activities from which a commercial benefit is derived.

Legal Services charges the area concerned based on the following hourly rates or negotiates a fixed charge for particular services:

$150 per hour - Director, Legal Services
$140 per hour - Deputy Director, Legal Services
$130 per hour - Solicitors
