Research scholarships
Faculty postgraduate research scholarships
The Faculty of Law and Management annually offers scholarships to the value of $19,231 p.a. (2006 stipend), tax free for up to three years for high quality candidates undertaking higher degrees by research within the Faculty.
The scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to those enrolled or willing to enrol in a higher degree (Masters by research or Doctor of Philosophy) in one of the Schools or Departments in the Faculty. The Faculty's priority areas for research are:
- Finance, International Trade or Public Policy (Department of Economics and Finance, School of Business);
- Management, Marketing or Accounting (Department of Accounting and Management, School of Business);
- Empirical research in the study of the Legal Profession including Alternative Dispute resolution, Public and Comparative Law, and Commercial law (School of Law);
- Regional Tourism or Entrepreneurship in Tourism (School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management);
- Human Resource Management and Marketing (Graduate School of Management)
Faculty applicants who are unsuccessful in their applications for La Trobe University and APA Scholarships will automatically be considered for a faculty scholarship and need not reapply.
Closing date
Applications close on 31 October annually.
