Accounting
Bachelor of Business
The honours year made me more organised and punctual.
Bachelor of Finance
My La Trobe degree has been very valuable. My present role incorporates both finance and accounting (both of my areas of major).
La Trobe University appealed to me as it is known for its quality teaching and learning.
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)
I had originally transferred from the University of Melbourne, and the subject choice at La Trobe was a lot more flexible.
Economics and Finance
Bachelor of Economics (Honours)
I chose La Trobe University because of its international reputation as one of Melbourne’s premier universities in the field of economics.
Graduate School of Management
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Providing a resumé with the MBA included amongst my accomplishments gave me a great start in finding the right position.
Law
Bachelor of Laws (Graduate entry)
With one child in kindergarten, a new born baby and a successful career as an academic at Monash University, you may ask what was I thinking when I gave up my job as a lecturer in education and commenced Graduate Law at La Trobe University?
Master of Laws in Global Business Law
I chose La Trobe Law’s Global Business Law LLM program because the areas of law covered by the course were diverse with spectacular subjects taught by leading academics and world recognised practitioners.
Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Legal Studies
I have not taken the conventional path to my Law degree, nor do I intend to use it in the conventional area of legal practice – but it is within La Trobe Law School that both the conventional and the non-conventional are promoted and encouraged.
I enjoyed studying at La Trobe because it is such a social, friendly university. I loved the on-campus facilities and the practical nature of the degree..
Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Science
I liked the feel of La Trobe Law; it struck me as a place where the staff were dedicated to teaching (not just lecturing) and where you wouldn’t get lost in the crowd.
Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Legal Studies
There are so many fantastic opportunities out there – I meet so many LTU Law graduates who are successful. Attitude and perseverance are key factors in everything.
Master of Law (International)
After considering many options Australia wide, I decided on the most sensible, attractive and "value for value" option - La Trobe University Law School.
I chose to study at La Trobe for several reasons, the strongest being that the Law School welcomed mature age students - the very existence of a graduate entry course guaranteed there would be plenty of non-school leavers in my cohort.
Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts
Based on my experience in Argentina I would definitely rate the exchange program. It provides the perfect opportunity to live in another country with a support network to help you whenever you need.
Master of Laws (International)
I wanted to get another perspective, a different point of view and for various reasons Australia was my first choice.
Bachelor of Laws (Graduate-entry)
I was particularly attracted to the graduate course ...because I wanted to study with a diverse range of students, including mature age students... The law degree at La Trobe also seemed very progressive...it was a very supportive learning environment.
Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry)
I have had the most challenging yet rewarding experience...I have been able to network with representatives at some of Melbourne’s top commercial firms and participated in competitions that have provided me with skills outside of those learnt in lectures and seminars.
Management
Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management)
You are a person within this program not a number...you have a lot of contact with the lecturers and tutors and the course coordinators...take a personal interest in those students willing to apply themselves.
My course was very relevant and I wouldn't hold the position I have now without it.
Bachelor of Business (Sport and Leisure Management)
In second year I chose the ‘Sport and Leisure Industry Practicum’ elective...This gave me the opportunity to work within the industry doing project-based work which has stood me in great stead.
Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management) Honours
The whole uni experience is great to increase your confidence, independence and ability to take responsibility for your own academic progress.
Bachelor of Business (Sport & Leisure Management)
Lisa had the opportunity to study at the University of Guelph in Canada as part of an exchange program. "This experience gave me a valuable insight to different working environments other than Australia."
This is a fantastic opportunity for any student that wants to mix things up a little. With the exchange program you get to travel and, unlike a deferral, still finish your degree on the same day as if you did it all in Australia.
Regional School of Business
Bachelor of Business (Tourism & Hospitality)
Going on exchange allowed me to grow as a person, as I learnt to adapt to a completely different lifestyle and interact with many diverse people.
I had a great university experience. The Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality) gave me an overall understanding of marketing, communications, accounting, law, economics and tourism.
The best things about La Trobe are the friends I've made, the fact that it's really easy to talk to lecturers and tutors, and most of all the social activities.
Master of International Business
The Master of International Business at La Trobe offered me exactly what I was looking for.
Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management) (Honours)
The course was specific in one sense but with enough breadth to ensure you come out into the workforce with a broad knowledge of how this industry functions.
It was a direct result of the La Trobe University Hospitality Degree’s reputation that I was invited to apply for a position on Hamilton Island.
Bachelor of International Business
Studying at La Trobe makes me feel real excited at the prospect of entering multi national companies with diverse workforces.
