Studying business at La Trobe University

La Trobe business courses enable students to develop or extend key knowledge and skills necessary for careers in wide-ranging businesses of all sizes within the private and public sector. Courses expose students to leading-edge developments, and the learning environment assists students to contribute to organisational development at both an individual and team level. The problem-focused approach taken in our courses assists students to develop problem-solving and decision-making skills valued by any business.

Undergraduate business

The Faculty of Law and Management is unique in offering students a flexible approach to studying business. Students can choose varying levels of specialisation in their discipline of interest. The general Bachelor of Business offers four-subject minors and seven-subject majors. The School of Management, in addition to offering minor and major sequences within the general Bachelor of Business, also offers a selection of specialised (tagged) business degrees in: Marketing, Human Resource Management, Sport and Leisure Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management.
