Moot court and advocacy
Single subject ('units') studies in moot court and advocacy at La Trobe University
Law students participate in compulsory moot court activities (judged by members of the legal profession), and can complete specific subjects on Communication and Advocacy Skills, or Trial Practice Advocacy. A new and innovative law program is the International Arbitration Practice subject, allowing students to attend and compete in an international mooting competition in Hong Kong.
Student skills competitions
The Law Students' Association also organises competitions in mooting, negotiation, client interviewing and witness examinations, which provide students with the opportunity to hone their legal skills against fellow law students. Successful competitors may then compete against other law schools at both the State and Federal level. For further information please email: president@latrobelsa.com
