Postgraduate Diploma Tourism and Hospitality Management

This course provides students with the opportunity to pursue further studies in tourism management, preparing them for professional careers and research-orientated occupations within the tourism industry. It provides a tuition program that is similar in part to an Honours year, with some flexibility for students to include a sequence of specialised units to suit their needs. Completion of this course with a final grade average above 70% will qualify students for entry to Master's degrees offered by the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Graduate Diploma Tourism and Hospitality Management

This course prepares students from disciplines other than tourism for professional and managerial employment in tourism. It provides students with a flexible structure suited to their individual requirements, allowing them to expand on their previous studies and vocational experiences.

Graduate Diploma Hospitality Management

This course provides professional studies in hospitality management for graduates from any discipline. The course prepares students for professional employment in the hospitality industry. It provides a flexible course structure to suit student's individual requirements, allowing them to expand on previous studies and vocational experiences.

Career opportunities

Our Graduates are expected to be in high demand as recruits to business corporations dealing with destination development and marketing, as analysts and policy advisors in the various types of municipal and public sector tourism development agencies, and as managers in firms where tourism and travel are core business. Given that Australias tourism industry accounts for an overall total of 6.8% of Gross Domestic Product, or $65 billion in spending and the employment of 810,000 persons, there is every indicator of strong demand for graduate employment.
