Human resource management (HRM) is concerned with dealing effectively with an organisations most valuable asset its people. It encompasses issues such as: recruitment and selection, motivation, determination of pay, promotion, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), training and development of employees, and international HRM. HRM is also playing an increasingly important role in the strategic decision making of organisations. Therefore, most of the units offered have both theoretical and applied content, so that the real world forces that affect policy can be understood.
Postraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
This course is designed for graduates with a human resource management major who wish to extend their knowledge and understanding of human resource management to an advanced level. The program provides a solid coverage of core human resource management and related material.
The course provides an advanced level qualification in human resource management for graduates who wish to continue their careers at the conclusion of their study, or to provide a re-entry point for those wishing to advance to higher degree studies in human resource management.
