Master of Business Administration
This course is designed to enhance students' existing skills, to increase their potential for creating value in the world of business and/or to meet the priorities of government organisations. It prepares graduates to tackle problems creatively in order to achieve optimum results for the organisation. Specifically, the aims and objectives of the course are to provide participants with an education in the essential techniques of management; to extend this fundamental knowledge into various areas of specialisation and to achieve a balance between academic rigour and exposure to a wide variety of experience in commerce, industry and government.
The major areas of study include organisational behaviour, electronic commerce, finance, human resource management, international business, management and marketing.
Master of Business Information Management and Systems 2 years / Master of Information Systems Management 1.5 years
These courses are designed to give students an understanding of industry-based IT tools and information systems concepts applied to business environments. It imparts knowledge and skills along four dimensions: industry-based IT tools, business-focused IT units, business management units, and an industry-based business intelligence project.
Industry-based IT tools include enterprise information systems (e.g. SAP), and business intelligence (e.g. SAS). Business-focused IT units include areas such as information systems design, information systems management, enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management, human computer interaction, business intelligence, entrepreneurship and IT data warehousing, knowledge management, IT project management and decision support systems.
- Students in the Master of Information Systems Management (1.5 years) will be part of planning and developing a significant applied information systems team project. Students will also undertake a single business management elective subject.
- Students in the Master of Business Information Management and Systems (2 years) Students will be part of planning and also in developing a significant applied information systems team project with application in a specific business discipline. Students will undertake three business management elective subjects.

Master of Business (Management)
This course aims to add value to students' original studies by developing knowledge and skills in recognised core management areas. It enables graduates from non-management disciplines to move into senior executive roles.
Students study a range of compulsory business and management units, concluding with a research methodology unit and project which builds on the management areas addressed in the program.
Master of International Business
The emphasis of this course is on the interdisciplinary overview of issues related to international business shaping the current and rapidly-changing global economy. Students will be provided with an education in the essential techniques of international business management, keeping a balance between academic rigour and exposure to a wide range of practical experiences in the various aspects of international management. Encompassing the entire spectrum of international business the program has been designed to provide a basis for understanding the global business environment and the role of the manager in it.
The course is suitable for new graduates and for graduates already in the workforce but who are seeking to move from the domestic business sector into the international business environment. Students have the opportunity to choose elective units offered as part of the course or from other areas of the University.
The units are designed to explore the macro to micro environment of international business, with analysis of the functional strategies of multinational corporations in areas including marketing, management, finance and human resource management. Students may select units from other postgraduate programs in Global Business Law, Conflict Resolution and Public Interest Law.
Graduate Certificate in Business Administration
This innovative management program provides candidates with a range of essential skills and the background knowledge necessary for working within contemporary organisations. Major areas of study include organisational behaviour, human resource management, finance and marketing. Students who successfully complete the course may be able to upgrade to the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with full Advanced Standing (credit).
Graduate Diploma in Business Administration
This management program provides candidates with a range of essential skills for working within contemporary organisations and a broad knowledge of today's business environment. It aims to provide students with a rigorous education in the techniques of management, business and administration, through integration of theory and previously acquired workplace experience.
Students with a grade average of 65% or above in this course may also use it as a pathway to the Master of Business administration with full Advanced Standing (credit).
Graduate Diploma in Business Studies
This course is designed to enable graduates of any discipline to undertake a program of study in the fields of human resource management, management (NB: not available at the Bendigo campus) or marketing, and assumes no previous business studies.
It introduces students to leading edge developments in these fields of study, and the learning environment prepares students to contribute to organisational development both at individual and team levels. The problem-focused approach taken in the course assists students to develop problem-solving and decision-making skills that lead to the effective management and marketing of a diversity of businesses.
Graduate Diploma in Information Systems Management
This course is designed to equip graduates with an understanding of the analysis, design, and application of business information systems, data warehousing, enterprise resource planning systems, and business intelligence.
Students may progress from this course to the Masters of Information Systems Management or to the Masters of Business Information Management and Systems.
This course is available only at the Bundoora Campus.
