40th Anniversary dinner

It was a night of reflecting, reminiscing and looking to the future at the Faculty of Law and Management 40th Year Anniversary Dinner.

The dinner was held on Thursday, 24 May 2007 for graduates of the first intake of the Bachelor of Economics. The Bachelor of Economics was one of the first degrees offered by the University when it opened in 1967.

Westpac CEO and La Trobe economics (Honours) graduate, Dr David Morgan was the keynote speaker. Dr Morgan's powerful speech, touched upon the unique social and political climate at La Trobe during its foundation years.

The event, held at Zinc, Federation Square, was also attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Paul Johnson, and the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Raymond Harbridge (pictured below with David Morgan), as well as staff - past and present.

Graduates from the past 40 years are more than welcome to contact the Faculty Marketing and Public Relations Office. We are collecting details for future alumni events.

A commemorative 40th Anniversary edition of the Faculty magazine Keynote [PDF 1.8MB] was produced for this event.
