Brief profile
Jeremy was appointed to his current position in 2007 after being Co-ordinator - Business - MIldura Campus since 2000.
Prior to this appointment he was employed by Univeristy of Adelaide (Australia) in a number of academic roles including Assoc. Dean, Head of Department and Senior Lecturer. Prior to these appointments he had held senior and junior academic and academic administration positions in a number of of Australian post-secondary and tertiary institutiuons including Curtin University of Technology and Karratha College, and overseas including University of Southern Mississippi. He also had a number of short appointments as a teacher in Australian secondary schools and TAFE's.
Before entering, and for a short period during academic appointments he was employed in a number of Australian private and public entities in various roles including Branch Accountant and Relieving Manager (National Bank of Australia), Cost Accountant (Alcoa), and Taxation Accountant (various meduim-sized accounting firms).
Over the past twenty years he has held a number of directorships on public, private, NFP and NGO boards including Trinity College (largest non-government school in Australia), Mildura Chamber of Commerce, Sunraysia Chapter - CPA Australia, Dopracon P/L (Doctors Practice Consultants) and TEAMS (Taxation, Educational and Managament Services).
He has also served on a number of community and private committees including recently Rotary Australia, NMLLEN, Victorian Wine Industry Cluster and Mildura Wines.
He holds or has held membership of a number of professional organziations including CPA Australia, Australian Institute of Managment, Australian Instutute of Cost and Management Accountants and International Wine Lawyers Association.
He has spent various length periods overseas either as a student or educational visitor in USA, European and Asian countries including China, where he has spent, over three separate visits, nearly nine months.
He is the Regional Coordinator - SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise, an international university student assciation that engages in community engagement projects in forty-five plus countries). He has also held the rank of Chief Petty Officer/ Coxawain in the Australian Naval Reserve.
His interests are in reading, travelling, sailing, and community engagement and development.
