Brief Profile

Stephen has accumulated a total of 10 years of industry experience. His industry experience began with Mitsubishi Material Corporation (MMC) in industrial sales and marketing. His role as the marketing manager for MMC involved both the domestic and international marketing responsibilities. Subsequent to attaining his MBA qualification in the UK, Stephen pursued a brief career in academia teaching marketing subjects in the University of Hertfordshire degree program conducted in Malaysia. He was then offered an opportunity to develop an advertising career at Chuo Senko, an international Japanese media and advertising agency headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. He embarked on a wider brand building career in industries ranging from Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) to Automobile and Consumer Electronics. Stephen completed a PhD degree at Monash University. His PhD thesis is written to examine and identify specific capabilities within business ecosystems in developing new rich media services (e.g. Mobile TV, Mobile Music, Mobile Games etc.). His doctoral research was partially sponsored by Ericsson AB.
