Brief profile
Nobu Yamashita is a Senior Lecturer at School of Economics. He has obtained PhD in Economics from the Australian National University (ANU) in 2008. His primary research is in the area of applied international economics with a focus on foreign direct investment (FDI), operations of multinational firms and international production networks within an international trade framework. The regional focus of his research has been on the Asia-Pacific region including China, India and Japan. He has consulting experiences for the issues related to trade and development with international organisations. He is also affiliated as an external research fellow to the Global Centre of Excellence in the Institute of Economics Research of Hitotsubashi University in Japan.
