Our courses are supported by the world-renowned La Trobe University library, excellent teaching facilities, industry placement and study exchange opportunities, as well as dedicated teaching and support staff.
Student satisfaction is important to La Trobe – we offer a variety of student services, facilities, and support. We were recently ranked top in Victoria for student satisfaction (Sweeney Uni Student Report, 2009).
We were also ranked as one of the world's top 100 universities in the Times Higher Education Supplement (UK) 2005. The University was also ranked equal 10th in Australia in the leading global academic rankings (Shanghai Jiao Tong University Index, 2006).
La Trobe is a member of the Innovative Research Universities (IRU) Australia alliance.
Close linkages with industry and government
La Trobe has strong links to industry, business and government.
Plans are currently underway for a state-of-the-art AgriBio Research Centre to be built on our Melbourne (Bundoora) campus - a joint project of the Victorian government and La Trobe.
