Upgrade of the area at the North End of Level 2 of the Borchardt Library

Infrastructure and Operations has undertaken an upgrade of the area at the North End of Level 2 of the Borchardt Library to establish a  Research Commons that will attract researchers by providing a place for researchers to discover, collaborate and connect, with workshop, data visualisation and presentation opportunities.

The new space will attract researchers by being lively, engaging, informal places and will directly contribute to improving University research performance.

Overview

The Research Commons now has the resources and spaces to support both new and experienced researchers and be a space that invites discovery, experimenting, and collaborating and which addresses the needs emerging with the growth of data-driven research, digital scholarship and interdisciplinary studies.

The new space will attract researchers by being lively, engaging, informal places and will directly contribute to improving University research performance.

Project status

The project was completed on time and on budget.
