Senior Manager Project Delivery
Owen Warlond has been working in the construction industry for 24 years having graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1991.
Throughout his architectural career, Owen worked in a variety of firms; leading and delivering projects in a diverse range of sectors including tertiary, retail, health, justice and residential. The design and construction of $100M expansion of the Knox Shopping Centre in a live operational environment, Owen acknowledges was one of his more challenging projects. To successfully deliver this project Owen worked on site for the entire 12 month construction duration.
His journey eventually lead him into Project Management, where Owen delivered projects to Defence, the State Government and a number of specialist projects. His key interest however was the tertiary sector, which led Owen to joined La Trobe University as a Project Director in 2013. During his tenure at Latrobe Owen has been actively involved with projects such as the completion of the Sylvia Walton Building and the Reid Building Adaptive Re-Use Project, he currently holds the title of (Acting) Senior Manager, Projects.
