Melbourne (Bundoora) is La Trobe University's main campus. Students from over 90 countries live and study in the beautiful bushland setting. The atmosphere is vibrant and friendly and is only 14 km from Melbourne's city centre.
The 330 hectare campus, north-east of Melbournes city centre, includes a world-renowned library, research and development park, restaurants and shops, sports facilities, an art museum, residential colleges, entertainment venues, and the Melbourne Wildlife Sanctuary.
Bundoora was recently named as one of the ten 'Melbourne's most liveable suburbs' (Herald Sun newspaper, 2008).
Getting to the Venue
Bundoora is in Zone 1, the cheapest public transport fare zone, and is accessible via Tram, Bus & Train
Tram
The 86 tram from the city stops at the Plenty Road entrance to the Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus. The tram stop is only a few minutes walk from the centre of the University. Although it is a bit slower than other services from the city (allow 45 mins - 1 hour), it runs more frequently and later in the evening on weekdays and weekends. You can also catch the 86 tram down from north of La Trobe University.

Train
There is no direct train route to the campus. You will need to connect with one of the following bus/tram routes at the relevant train station:
- Clifton Hill Station (Hurstbridge/Epping Line) - Bus 246

- Heidelberg Station (Hurstbridge Line) - Bus 550
- Ivanhoe Station (Hurstbridge Line) - Bus 547/548

Driving
It takes approximately 30-40 minutes to drive (Melways: 19 G7) or 30-40 minutes by bus from the CBD.
- The closest carpark to the John Scott Meeting House is P7, this is accessed off the University Ring Road.
- The closest carpark to the West Lecture Theatres is P1 & P2, this is accessed off Kingsbury Drive.
