Study Abroad
What is Study Abroad? The Study Abroad Program at La Trobe involves undertaking a semester or a year of study at La Trobe for credit towards your home degree, including Master’s by Research and PhD. Study Abroad students defer from their home institution for the period they intend to study at La Trobe, and pay international student fees while studying here. Like students who come out on exchange, subjects are pre-approved in order to assist students in obtaining credit and students are issued with an official academic transcript at the end of their program. The La Trobe Study Abroad Program allows students to live, study and work within the University's
unique and diverse cultural setting. Am I Study Abroad or Student Exchange?Check our list of International Exchange Partners to see if La Trobe has an agreement with your home institution. If so, you can consider applying for exchange. Here’s how to apply for Student Exchange. Otherwise you may want to come to La Trobe as a Study Abroad student. Here’s how to apply for Study Abroad.
