Undergraduate ScholarshipsAustralian Development Scholarships (ADS)La Trobe University is pleased to advise that it will be accepting recipients of the Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) from Semester 1 2007. The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) offers Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) to provide opportunities for individuals from selected developing countries to undertake post-secondary level study in Australia. The objective of the scholarship program is to provide AusAID sponsored students with valuable knowledge, skills and qualifications which will enable them to make a positive contribution to the development of their country. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship funded by AusAID, you should contact the Australian Diplomatic Mission in your country of citizenship. Malaysian Australian Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC)The Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC) Scholarships are offered to Australian citizens wanting to study in Malaysia, and also to Malaysian citizens wanting to study in Australia. La Trobe University is a participant in the program, and offers a tuition fee scholarship to a Malaysian student wishing to start an undergraduate degree at La Trobe University next year. The closing date at La Trobe will be 12 January 2007 for the Semester 1, 2007 intake. For further information, see the MACC website. Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering ScholarshipsThe Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering offers a number of scholarships to outstanding overseas students currently completing Year 12 or any equivalent school leaving certificate in any school in Australia, and commencing any undergraduate degree within the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering. The scholarships are valued at A$6,000 and the closing date for applications is usually 31 October for commencing studies the following year. The Study Melbourne Scholarships are being offered in cooperation with the Victorian Department of Education and are available for international students commencing study in 2008. Study Melbourne Scholarship recipients will be required to participate in the promotion of Melbourne/Victoria as a study destination for international students. How to Apply Students must attach their year 12 results and a written Statement of Purpose to their
application. Reference number FSTE-VNS 07 must be quoted on the Statement of
Purpose. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the written
Statement of Purpose. Applications can be lodged with one of La Trobe University's
