Melbourne to Albury-Wodonga: Transit & Temporary Accommodation

LTI does not arrange temporary accommodation or transit for those travelling to Albury-Wodonga via Melbourne. You will have to arrange for your own transit and temporary accommodation (in Melbourne). Should you wish to book a domestic flight from your arrival point in Australia to Albury airport you may want to use Regional Express or
Qantas airlines.

Should you wish to travel to Albury by train from your arrival point in Australia, you may want to use the Victorian Train Service or New South Wales Trains.

Temporary Accommodation Options in Melbourne Include:

Miami Hotel, West Melbourne

(Recommended for students travelling to Albury Wodonga Campus by train).

Conveniently located near Spencer Street Railway Station, the Miami Hotel is an ideal option for those students who fly into Melbourne on their way to the Albury-Wodonga campus and require temporary accommodation close to the city centre. The hotel offers 40 standard rooms with private bathroom, television, tea/coffee, refrigerator and ceiling fan; and 38 economy rooms with communal bathrooms and living areas. All rooms have central heating and a telephone connection. The cost per standard room is: $66 for a single, $77 for a twin/double and $99 for a triple. The cost per economy room is: $39 for a single, $50 for a double and $75 for a triple.

Airport transfers to the Miami Hotel can be arranged with Skybus city transfer. Their Bus service operates every 15 minutes between 6.00am and 9.00pm, 7 days a week. It will take about 20 minutes to get into the Spencer Street Station, costing only $13 one way.

is an ideal for option for those students who have an early morning flight or for a stop-over in Melbourne . The cost per standard room is: $69 for a triple.
