English and Foundation Studies
English language and Foundation and Diploma studies are undertaken at the La Trobe International College at the Melbourne Bundoora campus.
English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) includes General English, Business English and English for Further Studies.
Students studying English have access to the Independent Learning Centre (ILC), Student Advisory service, computer and language laboratories, field trips and excursions, cultural studies, and language and social activities, to explore and live the Australian experience.
Foundation Studies builds upon the student's studies in their home country to meet the entry requirements for undergraduate courses at La Trobe University. Through Academic Study Skills, students are able to meet the English language requirements of their chosen degree.
Diploma Programs offer alternative pathways to degree studies. Successful completion guarantees entry to a corresponding university course, where students are given credit for eight 1st year units, and enter into 2nd year of their corresponding degree. The Diplomas are moderated and assessed by the related University faculty.
