Credit for previous studies
La Trobe University may grant credit for subjects passed at other recognised tertiary institutions if:
- they are equivalent in content and standard to those offered by La Trobe; and
- they are relevant to your planned course of study.
Students who are currently studying, or have recently completed a TAFE program in Australia may receive credit towards a La Trobe University Bachelor's degree.
If you wish to apply for credit for previous studies, you must provide details, including your course syllabus, with your application. The University will not assess your previous studies for credit before you have lodged your application.
Advanced Standing Summaries
In some cases there are established agreements for approved courses to receive credit into La Trobe University courses; these are known as Advanced Standing agreements.
