For most courses, there is no official acceptance deadline, however, we strongly advise you to accept as soon as possible.

If an acceptance deadline applies to your offer it will be specified in your letter of offer.

Student visas can take from 1 to 16 weeks to be processed, and even longer in some cases. Allow yourself as much time as possible to complete all acceptance and visa procedures. This will help to ensure you arrive by the specified commencement date.

Students undertaking Master’s by Research or PhD courses

If you plan to undertake a Master’s degree by research or a PhD, an acceptance deadline will be specified in your letter of offer. You must ensure that both the Offer Acceptance Form and the Reply to an Offer of Higher Degree Candidature are returned by this date. If you require the acceptance deadline extended, please contact La Trobe International.

Your acceptance will not be formally confirmed until payment is received. In the case of IPRS (full) applicants, acceptance will not be confirmed until Research Services receives signed confirmation that you wish to accept the scholarship.
