On-campus accommodation at Bundoora (Melbourne)

Residential colleges

There are three residential colleges on the Bundoora campus. They provide single, furnished, study-bedrooms, shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities, and recreational and study areas. Significant academic, pastoral, cultural and sporting programs and support are also provided to residents. The colleges are located within a five-minute walk of the campus centre. Glenn College is fully catered, while Chisholm and Menzies are self-catering. Operating with the philosophy of more than just a place to live, the Colleges offer a unique experience of Australian university life.

All three colleges have online booking forms on their websites, so that you can arrange your accommodation to be ready for you when you arrive.

On-campus shared flat/apartment

La Trobe University Residential Services provides on-campus flats and units for students who wish to live together, or for married couples, including those with children. All units are fully furnished, with on-site laundry facilities and well lit car parking areas, situated on twelve acres of native garden. Weekly rates vary depending on the number of rooms. Gas, electricity and other costs are generally shared among residents.

Residences for postgraduate/mature-age students

The Bundoora campus also has two smaller collegiate-style residences, the University Lodge and Graduate House, specifically designed to cater for post-graduate and mature-age students. They offer a quieter and more independent lifestyle than the larger colleges.

Both are self-catering and offer single rooms, shared rooms, rooms for couples with double beds, shared lounge areas, fully-equipped kitchens, self-service laundries, and recreational facilities. Initial sheets and towels are provided. Rooms are cleaned weekly.

Weekly rates vary depending on the length of stay. Students can apply for long term accommodation online at the above websites, so that their accommodation is ready upon their arrival.
