Abhishek Awasthi, Murli Tadhani from LTI and Tanu Arora
Students from India studying at La Trobe always know how to push away nostalgia and enjoy themselves wherever they are. They did so on 6 August with a big party at Chisholm College.
The program was impressive, but the real event was even more impressive. The number of guests exceeded expectations, with over 150 students coming together to have a great time.
The night started with a welcome speech from the new president of the association, Abhishek Awasthi and La Trobe International staff, but it soon moved on to ice-breaking activities, such as dance performances, trivia games and a short comedy play.
Tanu Shree Arora and Varun Arora acted in short play that received applause and cheers from the audience. Tanu and Varun played two characters from the Bollywood scene, one a director and the other a truck driver dreaming to be a star.
The night continued with students sharing their experiences and opening up to their new found friends. At the end of the night there was a draw to give away prizes 25 lucky students went away with presents.
